Lagma Studio is located in the town of Zelezniki, next to the main road that connects the Primorska and Gorenjska regions, or more precisely in the Selska valley. From here there is a view of the river Selska Sora, as well as the surrounding hills. Selska valley offers various opportunities and activities.
Cycling, hiking, fishing, parachuting are some of them, and there is also a nice walk through the old part of this city. At 500 meters from the accommodation, guests can find a market, a bus station and the nearest restaurant. At a distance of 2 km there is an indoor swimming pool with saunas and a sun terrace. There is a bank and an ATM next to the pool, as wll as a gas station nearby.
Lagma Studio offers a flat-screen TV, a washing machine, a kitchenette with a toaster and a fridge, and towels and bed linen are also provided. Free Wi-Fi internet is also available, while parking is located in front of the house.
What to do and what to see?
Selska valley is a dynamic and diverse landscape, located under the mountain Ratitovec. The crystal clear Selska Sora river surrounded by hills and forests is truly magnificent. The land at the foot of Ratitovec Mountain warmly welcomes guests with its rich technical and cultural heritage, while also offering endless opportunities for vacation in beautiful, peaceful nature.
In the Railway Museum you can enjoy a walk through the rich history. It is located in the old part of the town, in a powerful hardware store. On the ground floor, you can see artifacts of the ironwork heritage from the middle of the 14th to the beginning of the 20th century.
The town of Zelezniki is known by bobbin lace-making, and there is a rich collection in the museum you can see. The craft of bobbin lace making is spread to the Selska valley from Idrija in the last decades of the nineteenth century. It was an important income for many families, due to the lack of jobs.
The Alpine foothills in Slovenia offer opportunities for relaxing moments in untouched nature. You can explore this varied terrain on foot or by bike. Swimming is possible at the pool, or in summer in Selska Sora, while in winter there are ski trails and jogging trails.
Only 32 km from the accommodation Lagma Studio is the widely known Lake Bled. The road to the lake leads past the mysterious village of Drazgose, through the iron city of Kropa, to Radovljica, where the Gorenjka chocolate factory and the Elan ski factory are located. Then you quickly reach your destination, Lake Bled.
If you head west, the main road leads to the mountain village of Sorica (12 km), which is famous for the artist Simon Grohar, where you can stop by the restaurant Tolc and have an excellent home-made meal. Then you can either continue to Primorska through Bascanska valley to Most na Soci (36 km) or pass Soriska mountain (8 km), a great place for hiking or skiing, and then drive on all the way to Lake Bohinj (25 km). The return tour can be the following: Lake Bled-Kranj-Skofja Loka-Zelezniki (77 km).
